I managed to beat the UCS New York mission in Lost Souls and get the cutscene where your base is destroyed by earthquakes but right after that I get the message that the mission failed (This is the last entry in the journal, etc.) and the You Lose video.

I've played with the 2.1.1 and tried playing the original version but the bug was still there. Anyone run into this before or know a solution?

No but i don't know if this is a bug and nobody asked you if you finished the previous campaigns for ED and LC before.
Since i think it is somehow connected for UCS that you needed to beat the previous campaigns but not sure or 100% for this.
Also on lparchive and youtube the game was supposed to continue after the earthquake without a loss screen so i don't know what is up.
The youtube video was by a german player.
