Years ago I already had this game from a game's magazine CD. Those days I played it very often, although I never finished it, partly to the fact that the CD got broken while moving to another town.
Now I bought it at GOG and am enjoying it again. The overall atmosphere of this game is still great. Story, graphics and sound create a believable feeling of struggling for your nation's survival during the last days of Earth. Although the graphics are outdated, the models, textures and esp. weather and lighting effects fit all well together. It is this plausibility that makes Earth 2150 to my favorite real time strategy game of that era, and, to be honest, even today.
Unfortunately the game crashes in the Construction window (F1) when using a non-standard resolution (like the 1024x600 of my netbook), but that's not the fault of the game.
As this is the whole triology, accompanied by manuals and the complete soundtrack, for only $ 5,99, it's one of the best RTS games here at GOG, and one of the best ever created.
I love it.
