Hi everyone !
Yesterday i decided to play my old earth 2150 again and as the discription says theres no intro or music in the game. I have to add that i have an original cd with the game not a gog version. I would appriciate if someone could tell me if those things work in gog version or help me with fixing those issues

I have the same problem. I can play the individual soundtrack files (.mp2 files) fine with Windows Media Player or Media Player Classic. But in game there is no soundtrack. Every other sound (unit sounds, weapon sounds) work fine.

Possible reasons:

- 64-bit system compatibility. My system is Windows 7 64-bit

- .mp2 file format. It is a rather old file format.

- Sound drivers. I don't really want to reinstall or perhaps downgrade my sound drivers since all my other games work perfectly fine.

It's a shame since Earth 2150 has a great soundtrack that brings back fond memories.
Could be a codec issue, try installing CCCP.
Doesn't help, unfortunately. :(

But, it's still a great game even without its soundtrack.

I was searching for a solution to this problem. But I guessed and figured it out so I figured I'd post here even if its an impressive grave dig.

Switch the audio to software mode.
You can do this by going into the graphics settings and changing the audio mode from hardware or autodetect, to software mode.
