I have a somewhat-odd question regarding Earth 2160. I read somewhere online (can't remember if it was an official Reality Pump news post or on a fan site) how the game uses Bézier splines instead of polygons. If this is true, since I remember the article I read made out Earth 2160's usage of Bézier splines allowed the engine to add more detail to a model (kind of like DX11/OpenGL 4 tessellation), is there a way to force an increase in the maximum amount of 'detail'? (I realize since this game was made before DX11 and OpenGL 4, a graphics card with tessellation capabilities won't help me here.)

I've read something like that as well, but so far I haven't found any way to do anything with it.
