Usually I am a sucker for such games, I really like these old RTS games, such as CnC. This game delivers a pretty unique gameplay and very nice graphics. The missions are quite simply but it's really fun. Base building takes some time to get used to it. The buildings are pretty huge compared to the units, which is quite realistic.
Battles look pretty awesome for such an old game, it's pretty simple to gather a big army and battle each other. It doesn't take a lot of time. Therefore huge battles are assured.
I recommend it.

Warzone 2100, which actually came out before Earth 2150. Warzone 2100 came out in 1999, Earth 2150 came out in 2000. Also, Warzone 2100 is now open source freeware and a team are currently still working on it to provide improvements. You can get the latest version here:

I've only played a little bit of it myself, some years ago now. It's not bad. Does share quite a few similarities to Earth 2150, what with the post-apocalyptic future setting, a 3D RTS engine and customizable units. In fact, the customization is very similar too, as you choose a chassis, a form of motion and a weapon.
