How do I run the game in windowed mode? I'm using Windows 7, if that's relevant.
I tried setting a "w" or "-w" parameter to a game shortcut, but no luck.
The .cfg also already has windowed as "1".

edit the Eador.cfg file with a text editor of choice (like notepad or notepad++)
remove the -f from the shortcut

Have you really tried it? It means that you should go to the properties of the desktop shortcut to the game, and remove '-f' from the "target" field.

I prefer the windowed mode, because the fullscreen mode runs in a resolution inappropriate for my LCD screen.
