Hi,

is there an option to fit the resolution to a widescreen?
I can't find an option to do this in the settings menu.
This question / problem has been solved by NecRus888image
No way to play in widescreen resolution. Only fullscreen or window 1024*768
So, how can I change to window mode?
In the ingame settings is no option to do that. In the game folder I looked inside the Eador.cfg file. Under the Main Settings the window mode was aready activated (1). I changed the number from 1 to 0 and back, but it makes no difference. It always starts fullscreen. :/
Try to use a shorcut form start menu from gog\ eador folder

My problem is that the GOG.com folder in my start menu is always empty although i've installed a lot of GOG games. I don't know why. I think my computer is a little bit messed up, so I don't have the Window Mode shortcut there. But it's only a shortcut? Then the real exe must be located elsewhere, but I can't find it.

What is your desktop resolution?
1680x1050

It's playable, but it looks not that good because the left boarder is cut off a bit and on the right border I have a black boarder. But I can read the tutorial textes.

EDIT:

Now I found out by myself how to make a window mode exe out of a fullscreen exe.

Rightclick on the desktop shortcut and klick on properties. Then there is the target line.

It looks like this:

"C:\GOG Games\Eador - Genesis\Eador.exe" f

change the "f" for fullscreen at the end of the line to "w" for window

"C:\GOG Games\Eador - Genesis\Eador.exe" w

and save it.

Now the game opens in window mode. :D

I made the f to w change but it seems to revert back to full screen when I start even though w is still in the start line.

You don't need to affix anything else to the shortcut's target. Just delete 'f' and it should run in windowed mode by default.

That is exactly what I did unfortunately. It almost looks like there is some coding that kicks to widescreen no matter what :s

Any other suggestions?
Sorry, thought that might work since it did for me :(

No worries...I think it is in my general setup. I hear it and all but I see it kick to widescreen after a brief moment at start-up...like a default setting or something....I will figure it out!!

Thanks for trying!
