There are some cards in the character screen in this picture, what are they for? I don't think I have seen these in my game.

This is a Gremlin Lottery, which works through Yuplay. It can be switched on and off via config file.

Yes that was it! So this is the send sms to yuplay button for an artifact lottery, interesting, thanks. Doubt many would have gone for that in a modifiable singleplayer offline game where you only spend a few hours with the item.
