Hi.

I get no sound from this game. No music, no sond fx, nothing.

I have Windows Vista 64bit and I'm using 5.1 headphones.

Can someone help me, please?

No one has this problem?
Yes, same here, Graphics appear to be fine but I get no sound on a Windows 7 64 machine. Tried to throttle down the CPU but no difference.

The instructions for DXWnd appear to be out of date?
Probably doesn't like Asus Xonar sound card drivers? Got it to run on a laptop with integrated board sound.. nice game!

I have an Asus Xonar sound card, could it be it? Is there any workaround for this problem?
I got it the game to run on another machine.

May be disabling the Xonar sound card and running sound from any integrated sound chip on the motherboard might work but that would mean fiddling in any BIOS settings which is a bit extreme. May be approaching the Asus user forums might help?
For me it's quite strange - sometimes sound is played, and sometimes not. Often in the middle of combat it suddenly starts to work...

(I have Win7 x64.)
No sound for me either, and I have an Asus Xonar too. It seems to cause problems with other games too, I think I'm gonna have to get a new soundcard.
My oh my im good.

I just tried something and it actually worked.
Make sure that you have steam closed (as some reported that it fucks things up)
go into your xonar audio center
find your little GX button and disable it.
It worked for me. Please do report if it was just a fluke or if it is actually working.

What fixed it for me was using these unofficial Xonar drivers. Apparently the official ones are heavily outdated and crappy.

Thanks skafjeld-- this worked to resolve the no sound issue from my Xonar DG card. I'm also using Preveder's fan-made launcher to correct sound stutter and graphical lag. Link is below if anyone is having both problems.
