I could never... I'm too shy for that...
are you sure on this
previously the bonuses would show up in combat but only in combat if you selected to hero in the current effects section it was rather hard to tell if they did anything

Yes I am sure. The hero stats do not show any of the perks of a completed armorset - I completed Paladin's and Commander's. If the hero stat screen lies, I wouldn't know, but then that would be a much more serious bug.
Unlike Genesis, the info for armour items belong to a set makes no claim that there will be bonuses for a full set. I just figured that they had decided that this was a needless complication which did not add to player enjoyment, and so they removed it. Therefore I have no expectation of an armour set bonus.

I really hope that wasn't a conscious (and final) decision on the developers' part, because that would make MotBW clearly the worse game, compared to Genesis.
Yeah really, set bonus " a needless complication which did not add to player enjoyment" ?? Wtf

Like multiplayer on strategic map :) On a serious note, this was sarcasm imo.
I have not collected too many sets in MotBW as of yet, but i at least observed the follwing 3 part boni: Regen from the Basilisk set, Party Hit Points from the Hero set and Morale from the Valor set. Didn't specifically watch out for it though, so i'm not sure whether the Valor set increased hit points, or if other boni were missing.

I think, if there are set boni missing it can considered a bug/missing feature and will be fixed at some point.

Otherwise i would miss them quite a lot. It was part of the optimization fun to decide whether to ditch a set bonus for getting the better stand alone gear or maybe use the better gear on another hero, who doesn't need it as much, but keep the set etc.

For me, one of the most important bonuses was +1 speed gained with most heavy armorsets. This was important because most heavy breastplates caused a -1 speed, which then you gained back if you completed the set. At least for me, +1 speed is huge!

Also, the completed Basilisk armorset gives you a +5 regeneration - partially completed gives +2, if I recall correctly. That's pretty neat as well.

Hello.

I collected the complete veteran set, and although the bonuses are not written on it, they apply on the hero and army, so i think that set bonuses are still present, but not mentionned, and if I did not knew genesis, I would never had figure that.

So I think they kept the sets bonuses, but it's one more bug, or the development team did not get the time to finish ths sets system correctly... Waiting for another patch...

I don't think they did keep those bonuses - I paid super-careful attention at the mobility of my hero, and adding the breastplate decreases it (-1), but completing the full armorset does not recover it (+1).
I was not speaking about mobility, but the experience bonuses with this set (and it's chainmail, so no -1 on mobility), with the complete veteran set, my lvl 1 fighter had the experience bonuses linked to this set... I did not try to complete other sets now, so i can just say at least, veteran set seems to apply his bonuses, even if they're not written on the objects.
