Okay, bought Genesis after Extra Credits gave it a plug, and found the board on GameFAQs to be dead, so I started to add some stuff, both own findings, and some of the things learned here. But I'm curious, are the endings any better on Master of the Broken World? There seems to be no Good Ending in the set for Genesis, either you killed everyone, killed specific Masters, or just died. There's only one Victory Condition for winning without killing anyone, and it's kinda hard, and no matter what you do, the tone of the endings are kinda downers. Also, does MotBW include ending cinemas? Genesis is just a text scroll, with a unique background pic depending on method of Victory.

Khem, there are 12 endings, and while it's true that most of them are bad, some are pretty cool, for example Keys of Truth one.

Do you mean Genesis has Twelve endings? I've only seen....one(Keys), two(Machine), three(Everyone dies), four(You kill everyone), five(The Necromancer Kills everyone), six(You reach the Center of the Astral). That's all I know about, and I'm not even sure about that last one.

both necromancers have own ending, Erdu gives another, machine of Ul-Dagan gives 2,

Ah, forgot about Tailismen ending. And interesting...never been able to join them myself. I'm far too much of a Paragon to want to hurt people. Though I must admit, the Lich(Second Necro) is kinda fun to talk to. Dude's nuts, but really into his insanity. Favorite is the Dragon and the Poet(Erdu), Least favorite is the Barbarian(I have yet to get him to surrender a shard even when Allied with him and I control everything but his little corner), and the Key Master/God of Knowledge(He's a jerk...nothing special, I just think he needs to be smacked around a bit)

I'm only up to Erdu currently, and I've destroyed both the barbarian (for key reasons), the Seer (same) and the Lich (he started it!)

Ul-Dagan - gotta wait for Zarr to come through (hopefully)

Still don't know which ending I'm shooting for, don't know much about any of them actually, but probably the keys if I don't mess up.

It's always announced when theres a key on the current shard, like it was with the Khorian Bogs, right? It's been a couple shards since I got the Elven Tower of Hope lead, and it still hasn't shown up on a shard.

And if I mess up and not find the key, is that it?

Also, how come Zarr isn't offering to buy any more of those machine parts I find... Don't want to give them to Ul-Dagan, that guy's obviously up to no good (though i gave him 1 part ....)

First gear and ancient detail are different things.

Not the first gear which he used for the Casino, the first ancient part you find, before meeting Ul-Dagan, the one Zarr tells you is part of a Chaos machine. And the one you can buy back from him after speaking with Ul-Dagan.
