Since i have some spare time imo i played Eador again and i have same problems to get the Heros cross for my Units.

As fas as i know...a Unit need to kill 5+ enemys and loose 2/3+ of his HP but the Units still doesn't get the Hero's Cross
90% of the time.

I.Is it enough if the overall damage was 2/3 of the HP or have the final HP(at the end of the battle) to be under 2/3 ?

II.If a Unit qualify for several Medals...wich Medal is offered? Because..the 5+Kills are often enough damage for the "Will of Victory"-Medal

You unit just needs to have taken 60% damage during the battle. They say 2/3's around here but in my experience it only needs to be 3/5 (60% instead of 66%), just mentioning this because sometimes with odd HP amounts it can be tough.

BTW important to note that POISON damage does NOT count.

Sadly I believe it's random which is offered if you qualify for 2 or more.

One thing to help though is to keep in mind that Hero's Cross does NOT take Damage Dealt OR Damage Received (after making sure you have at least taken the 60%) into it's calculation.
The only real way to improve it's chances are with KILLS. Both Will for Victory and Defender Medals increase chances with those 2 things whereas only way to improve chances with Hero's Medal is through kills.

Making sure your unit only takes that 60% damage and only makes the killing blows without doing so much damage will improve chances of getting Hero's Cross over Order of the Defender and Will for Victory which are usually 2 of the most common I get when trying for HC's
