When I play Genesis, the audio crackles and pops, like an old vinyl record, and from time to time on the battle board the game stutters.

Anyone experience the same issues? Any solution for it?

If your computer is too fast, Eador isn't happy. I had the problems you describe and fixed them by creating a power profile that throttled my CPU. Give that a try if you haven't already.

I would actually rather buy the newer remade version rather than muck around with my CPU :)

You dont have to muck around, just use the windows power profile, it is very easy
