I just got a new computer (Windows 8, ugh), and am attempting to play Eador Genesis in fullscreen mode. Whenever it starts, I get a black screen, but I can hear the main menu music playing in the background, so it's not frozen.

Never had a problem on the old computer.

Also, windowed mode works fine. Anyone have any ideas what the problem is? Graphics card drivers are up to date.

Thanks!
If you can, upgrade to Windows 7. It's the last Windows I'll ever use.

Yeah, I hear ya. Not sure if the screen issue is OS related though.

That shouldn't be too difficult to figure out: tell us (here) what is your graphics card and let's see if someone else had the same issue with Genesis and that card.

Card is a GeForce GTX 960M. Got the latest drivers, just in case, but no luck.
DXwnd worked, in case anyone else has the same issue. If anyone comes up with a way to run it without DXwnd, I'd still be quite interested to know.

Thanks!
