Heck I saw it on for 70% off for only 6 bucks and decided what the heck. I mean it's a pizza slice combos price which is all I would ever pay for it.

So how many others got it during this "Insomnia" sale and at what price?

I thought about it, but then decided 5,99 is still too much just to have a look.

I wasn't going to get it because I like more action oriented RPGs, but it looked interesting so I finally broke down and got it too.

So, do you guys have any thoughts on it?

I actually got it as a freebie during the sale. At that price it's worth it ;)

As a freebie it has a nice soundtrack, even if you don't like the game itself!

Is there really NO difference in gameplay and features between Genesis and the new one?

I have both. Played the tutorial in MotBW (what's in a name), but I don't really care about gfx (i'm on GOG so yeah...). Are there really no changes in random events, units, etc.? In that case I'll just revert to the normal game as it seems to play quicker because of the better interface.

No (not in any real sense) its just the old game with some pretty graphics. At the time this post was made it had a stack of bugs that made it all but un-playable and some people felt a bit cheated.

To be clear, that was then and this is now so the game has come a long way with changes both major and minor… imo it's now the better of the two games but my child tax still likes the old game which works better on her machine so each to their own.

Lol I still have not even gotten around to playing this yet even though I bought it almost 4 months ago.

Anyone know if there is any major problem effecting non campaign/Single Player play right now? I don't care about multi yet.

I've played both the campaign and SP "skirmish shard" modes with very little problem, with the exception of a freeze up now and then (not often though). I just save frequently to be safe. To be honest, I have had more freezing and crashes with other "bug-free" games than MotBW. Playing on an XP machine with an nVidia GPU just FYI
