Try reinstalling the game or verifying the game files (if you do use GOG Galaxy).

Tried that, didn't work. The game works fine on my Intel/Nvidia computer which makes me believe this is some sort of AMD issue. I've updated all drivers and bios's and still no go. I also tried running the game in different compatablity modes.

You did the right moves and you are right: a search on the web revealed to me that the game seems to be very buggy and it commonly suffers for the access violation error.

Here are some solutions reported:
- Disable DEP (Data Execution Prevention) for the game;
- Set the game to run as administrator;
- Create another user profile or delete all the save data;
- Disable autosaving.

Thanks. I'll play with these fixes and see if anything works

I can't get it to work. I've uninstalled, at least it's working on my other PC.
