Congratulations guys, I have no doubt I'll be picking this up after the positive buzz Eador got here :)
From the videos Snowbird posted, it seems exactly identical to Eador Genesis, but with worse (for me) graphics. I picked up EG exactly because of the look and feel.

Other than the 3D graphics, the gameplay is identical.

New graphics look good to me, and the gameplay being identical just solidifies I'll be getting it given the positive mood around it.
It's quite similar, but not identical. I've noticed some new things on the beta videos - new shard types, new province and terrain types (like Desert), new location types, new events etc.

That better not mean that we will have to have Steam installed to run it.

If it'd been built with Steamworks I doubt it would've needed to be Greenlighted.

Other games have not been built with Steamworks that require Steam to be installed to play. That's why I asked.

Which games are those?

Too many to list.
That's true, Steamworks and Steam DRM are two different things.
Thanks a lot, guys :) And a big thanks for your support.
It has already been stated that Masters of the Broken World will be released on GOG as well. Although, now that I'm thinking about it, this could mean it will be released on GoG after five years.

Personally, I'd prefer a DRM-free boxed copy :)

What a useless post. I didn't say you needed to list every single one. I'm just not aware of games that require Steam that are not Steamworks. Sure, some activate on Steam without having Steamworks but those practically always have other variants on other retailers that don't use Steam.
