What exactly do I need to be able to play coop, preferably over LAN?

I own the game on GOG, Steam, and Epic... But I want to play with my daughter who does not have any account whatsover...

Hi,

You can install your GOG version in both PCs (your daughter and your's), don't use Galaxy.
Install a VPN such as Hamachi or Radmin on both PCs, create a tunnel
Run both games and enjoy

FYI you need to complete one or tow missions first to play together. A message will be inform you when it's unlocked.
It work i finished the games with my best friend only with my copy of GOG game

Do you know if I will have to download and install the "offline backup game installers" or can I use the version already downloaded with gog galaxy but just turn off galaxy features?

I will try using the app ZeroTier and post my results here :)...

No Galaxy.

Use only offline backup game installers and it will be OK.
I never heard about ZeroTier but why not. Try Radmin if it doesn't work.
And remeber the game version must be the same on both PCs.
