As soon as I start the game and the intro starts to display, Windows starts playing the "Device Disconnect" sound effect, continuously. Not disconnect and then reconnect, but continuously playing the three descending notes.

I'm running Windows 8.1. Nothing seems to be showing up in the event logs. If I open Device Manager during the game, it's constantly refreshing, but I never see any devices being added or removed. Exiting the game stops the continuous refresh and the noise.

Anyone have any idea what is going on?
