I’ve decided to fire this up for the first time on GOG. And it pretty much plays as I remember, except the monsters are moving insanely fast! Like, I see them in the far distance, then in 2 seconds they are at me! Which is all fine for wolves and goblins but I dread what I know is into store later on!

Anyone else have this issue? Can anyone offer specific settings in DosBox that might help without spending hours in trial-and-error?

They are fast, but not as fast as you describe in my case.

Have you tried decreasing DOSBox's CPU cycles (Ctrl+F11)?
