A few strange effects I've noticed in Dark Queen. Wondering if others can confirm or shed any additional light.

Several spell casters begin the battle with Mirror Image in effect.
Hitting them with a fireball seems to do nothing at all (when it should be clearing out all the images by tabletop rules).

Enemies with the fire shields are immune to fireballs but DO take damage from delayed blast fireballs.

Is the delay part of the delayed blast not implemented in the Krynn games? Not that its often useful but I didn't see an option for it.

* Yes, pre-buffed casters are a BIG thing in Dark Queen, to a far greater extent than any other Gold Box game (the only especially notable definite examples I can remember off the top of my head of prebuffed casters in the other titles are the Zhentrim Mages and Dracandros from Curse of the Azure Bonds)

* It's not the Mirror Image that's blocking the fireball; that's a different buff (both Fire Shield and Globe spells will influence).

* The Dark Wizards in particular are buffed to the teeth, practically as well as a PC caster would be going into a boss fight - they have one of the Globe spells in effect as well as Fire Shield, which would explain the difference (Fireball being a level 3 spell will be blocked by either Globe, while DBF is level 7 and would only be nullified by Fire Shield + saving throw).

* The delay part is indeed not implemented. Secret of the Silver Blades was the only GB title where you actually had the option of delaying DBF (you could specify any delay from 1 to 50 segments, i.e., from 1 initiative tick up to 5 complete combat rounds from casting), and my presumption is that players pretty much never used the feature (and if it had been in Dark Queen, those damnable enemy casters would probably always pick 1 ...).
