First, I own a copy of every SSI d&d game and the original manuals/journals other than the Krynn series.
Thus, I can just use those when I want to play the forgotten realms gold box games.

But, not actually having physical copies of the Krynn series, we all have to rely on pdf's. This results in a bit of an issue. Having to Alt+tab out of the game to check the journal entries in a pdf while playing is quite annoying, though a necessary evil in digital distribution obviously. But, having single page scans, would make it much easier to read when those pdf's are open on a phone/tablet. My "budget" tablet took a dive a bit ago, so using my phone was the best option. Only, min'es not a "brick", and rather small. Reading single page pdf's is not much of an issue. Though, double page scans is.

It's a pain to have to zoom and adjust the view to the right passage. It would be extremely nice if the scans provided in the gold box series were single page scans so that myself and others would have an easier way of looking them up. Those of us with limited technological resources (and rough eyesight) anyways.

(p.s. Even though still have my Pools of Radiance code wheel and did use it to re-play the game, I feel a full on crack would have been better than a code wheel app. Or at least an optional patch to bypass it).

The PDF files are generally a page or two scanned as an image, so (if you have Microsoft Office 2013 or 2016) you could load the PDF file into Word and publish the individual pages as a PDF file. If you don't have access to Microsoft Office, you could also try Open Office, as I believe it has an option PDF edit module.

Worse comes to worse, download a free PDF printer and use your PDF reader of choice and "print" each individual page as a PDF file. Tedious? Yup, but it should get you what you want. At least until you can replace your tablet with another one. I use a Lenovo TAB 2 A10-70F myself. =)

they only implemented the code wheel because there is a part in Pool of Radiance where you need to translate ruins in order to pacify the undead in Skoal Keep. there is no way to crack that out.
Try sejda.com and choose split pdf in half / down the middle. I would post a direct link, but for some reason the forum software doesn't allow me to.

It splits a PDF down the middle and makes a new PDF. Worked for me, and the good part is no need to download anything so you can probably use it on your phone.

Cool. Thanks. I'll give it a try.
