What is it with these encounters? Am i doing something wrong champions of krynn is the first one right? I encountered hill giants and other beasts that are way to powerfull for a party as mine?

I went a but to the right of the map after that i went to the village where caramon is but hobgoblins are there.
Well, you're not really supposed to waste time exploring the countryside (there's really not much to find anyway).
The game does not scale encounter to your level, but to the area, so some areas are tougher than others.

This is how random encounter work in towns and dungeons in Champions of Krynn (may be considered a spoiler):



























There is a finite amount of randome encounter on every map, but if you leave the are the random encounters are reset if you re-enter the area.

well im gonne try again btw is pool of radiance serie worth it? cause part 1 you only can chose fighter thief and spell caster
Yes, it's worth it. it' only the first game in the series that is restricted to the four (including Cleric) base classes. The second game introduces Paladins and Rangers.
Rule for classic crpgs:

If an area is too hard go elsewhere and return when you're stronger.

true but some crpg's can be hard at the beginning as well

I had played some champion of krynn and i noticed how strong knights start with one of the best armours
