Seeing as the no spoiler rule limits the discussion possible in the other topic, I figure I would create this thread for discussions that involve spoilers. (I don't mind spoiling myself; in fact, I tend to enjoy games more when I know what to expect.)
I mentioned the strategy of having a half-giant Fighter/Psionicist using Lend Health for healing, but there is another ingredient available in the game: El's Drinker. Use Lend Health to heal an ally, then use El's Drinker to regain the lost health. If your level is high enough, you can get 2 attacks in a round, healing after both of them, while also damaging the enemy.
Another thing to note: The Steadfast Ring boosts Constitution, giving you more HP at level up. However, there are a couple things to note about such Constitution changes:
1. The bonus, while only given at level up, is retroactive. Hence, as long as you find it before reaching max level, you will get the full bonus at the next level up.
2. If you remove the ring and then level up, you could actually *lose* hit points.
Hence, the optimal strategy to maxing everybody's HP in Shattered Lands is as follows:
1. Give the ring to a character who is about to reach max level.
2. Raise that character to max level.
3. Remove the ring and give it to the next character.
If two characters would max out at the same time, you can stagger the experience by purposefully letting the character die as there is apparently an NPC who can revive dead characters without the Constitution loss.
Given the way the game works, I would be inclined to suspect this trick might be an exploit; the game should have recalculated maximum HP whenever Constitution changes, rather than just at level up.
