I like this game, quite a lot. It reminds me of a few of my favorite games of recent years. Games like Binding of Isaac, Enter The Gungeon, Nuclear Throne and Spelunky. There might even be a little Hammerwatch in there. It comes together in a way that is surprisingly fun but also not as derivative as you might think, partially due to the leveling up system, I believe. Your builds are more than just the items you pick up
The challenge is definitely there. My best runs have been with the Thief, with an upgrade to accuracy after gaining my first level. My only issue with the game is how going into the inventory screen or stat screen doesn't pause the action. If you think you have found a safe place to menu, there are invisible enemies who can spawn on you, possibly even killing you if you're using a low health character. Perhaps a mechanic similar to EtG, where time slows down when you are menuing, would help.
At any rate, thanks for the awesome game.
