I know that GoG has released a Mac version for Dungeon Souls, but it doesn't work for me and a few other Mac users I have found on the internet and in chat. I know that this is still a game in development, but I was anxious to try this game, so I downloaded the Windows version. I have used Wineskin to create a wrapper using version WS9Wine 1.9.21. When I first ran it, the mouse and keyboard weren't responding, and I know that sometimes the resolution settings on Mac can muck with functionality, so... I went into the Wineskin wrapper to Advanced Options (in menu) and then Set Screen Options. When I clicked "Override" and set the override settings to "Rootless (windowed)", "Normal Windows", and "Force normal windows", it worked like a charm! Now the keyboard responds and the mouse commands work. This is an option for Mac users trying the Beta that haven't had results otherwise. Tomorrow, I will try out the gamepad with it. I'll update to let everyone know whether it worked for me or not. So to recap if mouse/keyboard aren't responding after Wineskin install:
* Wineskin Wrapper 1.9.21.
* Install .exe per usual procedures.
* Open Package Contents and open Wineskin.
* Go to Advanced Settings.
* Go to "Set Screen Resolution."
* "Override" and set to "Rootless (windowed", "Normal windows", "Force normal windows"; don't mess with any other settings; do NOT set to "Fullscreen". (It will still fill up the screen, so full screen won't be necessary.)
* Now the mouse and keyboard works normally!
I was impatient. I hope my impatience will help others. Enjoy!
