I'm running Windows Vista 64 bit on a HP laptop.

My video card is a on board Intel Chipset, and the driver is fully up to date.

The safemode.exe also only results in a black screen.

I also turned User Account Control and tried to reinstall after that, still black screen.

Game runs fine with the safemode of my Win7 32-bit ATI desktop PC.

So I've basically done all the recommended trouble shooting tips and it didn't work. What else might be making it not work?

I'm stuck in a similar situation: intel integrated on my laptop, installed as admin, turned graphic performance off, dropped my screen res, and black screen for both launchers.
Vista 32bit. Haven't tried the linux/wine method (wine is currently broken on my box).

Has anyone out there figured this out? I'd be really disappointed if this was another unworkable dog.
