Anyone know how to get fraps to work with DK2? I would like to record footage and take screenshots but fraps doesn't work with the game it seems.

ave you already tried HyperCam? This might work here?

Well, I did try that program but couldn't get it to record properly. It recorded like a small portion of the screen and nothing else. Weird. But I rather not have to pay for another recording program just for one game.

I did get Fraps to work for the regular DKII exe and the safe mode exe, but the game has some weird artifacting going on (particle effects are surrounding by bounding boxes for example) and just doesn't look good. The hot fix that allows for hardware acceleration looks and plays great, but hates overlays of all kinds, Fraps, Steam and others. Which is a shame, it's the better of the bunch. It doesn't help that I have an AMD card and I hear DKII doesn't like those. Bummer.

I used a program called obs (Open Source Boardcaster)
You have to set it to capture your monitor which is relatively easy
This may not be the fix for fraps, but at least OBS does cost money

PS. For thoughs of you that do have the money, I have tried Dxtory
and it work well however it does require a bit more power from your HDD
