This seems to have the potential to become a proper Dungeon Keeper II sequel, which is missing for way too long :)
Good properties:unity engine based so instantly cross-platform (PC, Mac, Linux), a editor for broad modding capability will be included and tech demo is already available (https://wftogame.com/demo), looks really DK-like.

But, at the moment it seems that Subterranean Games considered Steam as primary distribution channel (FAQ https://subterraneangames.com/threads/frequently-asked-questions.662/) and has also given no definitive word on a non-DRM version. So, everybody who pledges this campaign, please request a DRM free solution on their comment page, it will be noticed! ;)

Also, they're trying to get the original voice actor from Dungeon Keeper proper to come back.

Looks pretty exciting. I hope it gets backed. I wonder if people will pledge money with it being holidays, as they're probably already spending what they have on gifts ect...

What's your stance on DRM?
[strich (Scott Richmond - Lead Programmer)]: Steam is as far as we're going for DRM. And only because Steam is a really great platform regardless. We are considering release on completely DRM-free sites such as GoG for those who do not like Steam either.

Hmm, the recent AMA event revealed no clarity for a non-DRM or non-Steam solution, the developer still considering it and waiting.... for a DRM-free release be more push & demand is needed it sems!

We are definitely wanting to do a DRM-free version, we just want to confirm some details first before we announce it properly - namely, we want to release it on GoG, but we're yet to hear back from GOG on if this is a possibility or not.

I hope you guys make the goal! Not to be a debbie downer, but it seems like funding is kinda slow. Thing is, based upon the description of the game as a "true" DK sequel (in spirit) I think it would sell really well. Even if Kickstarter doesn't work out, I sincerely hope you guys find a way to make this game!

*BTW, if there is a soundtrack, would it be possible to release for free on GOG as part of the bonus content? Or if not (presumably it would be purchase-downloadable from a place like iTunes or Amazon), could you guys at least release a soundtrack sample on GOG? :)

*EDIT: Just saw, "digital download of the WFTO soundtrack", so that might make it tricky for a free release on GOG. Hopefully it will at least be available for purchase on a place like Soundcloud. Personally I wish GOG would do like Steam and allow the full soundtrack to optionally be purchased.

Crossing my finger here. They got past 1/2 of the funds.

They got Peter Molyneux, the creator of Dungeon Keeper, with them. Funds started increasing faster. They are missing £40 491 currently and it's decreasing every minute. 11 days to go.

This'll probably be the first game I've kickstarted. Why? Because its dungeon keeper! Its been years since we've seen something like this and I hope it gets the funds it needs.
