I've followed all your instructions as needed, didn't overwrite any files, didn't miss anything, made the correct path to the correct files, and everything works just as intended. Except for the music. Why is this?

I updated the instructions today to explain how to get the music working. Please re-read :-)

KeeperFX behaves like the original DOS release, therefore it requires a CD Image with the audio tracks to be mounted, or to have the disc placed in your CD drive.

Hopefully in future the KeeperFX developers will include a convenient fix to use OGG or MP3 audio files.

I followed your new instructions, and now it works perfectly. Thanks!

My pleasure. Let me know if you experience any other issues.

devilhood: What graphics card do you have? I suggest trying your native screen resolution first. If that doesn't help, try forcing a different SDL Video driver using Launch.exe. There are two modes, directx and windib. One of them should hopefully solve the problem. If that doesn't help, check to see if you're using the very latest graphics drivers.

If you change the screen resolution on Windows, do experience the same problem? Are you using a VGA cable? Check your monitor settings to see if there is an option to perform an automatic screen alignment.

I've played KeeperFX on many different hardware configurations, and never had an issue with the screen being cut off. That's a peculiar one for sure. Do other games work fine for you?
I've got an ATI Radeon HD 5700.
I run the game in my native resolution (1440x900). Tried both video drivers, no change. Graphic drivers are up to date.
Changing the resolution on Windows doesn't make a difference, nor does my screen perform any kind of automatic alignment.

Mind you, like I said, the game interface is fine. I can select all the buildings and spells, even the Sell button shows up nice and the message markers align up perfectly (with the question mark at the bottom).
However, when I want to open a message ("Your lair is full" or the mission description) it looks as if it opens below the screen, I can just see the top line of the message image. Also, the Map screen cuts off the bottom third of the map.
The sizing problem with the menu I was able to fix (Settings in the launcher allowed me to do that, though with the new resolution, the 'window' overlay on the world map blocks the second world) but the issue with messages appearing just below the screen and the level map getting cut off persist no matter what graphic option I change or resolution I switch to.

So I'm kind of at a loss here.
Argh still getting problems setting up the music for this game converted the OGG files to WAV opened the cue sheet change the install path to E drive thats where the gog version is installed changed the CUE sheet to an ISO image using IMGBURN and mounted with daemon and changed the disk drive letter from E to B so it comes first cause dungeon keeper only reads the first drive and still no music i really dont wanna fiddle with my mp3 player in the background to get the cool eerie dungeon ambiance music and water drips can anyone help?

The engine is bugged for that kind of high/wide resolutions, you should stick to a max res of 1024x768 as was told by the KeeperFX developer

I'm running the latest nightly build with a resolution of 1280 x 800 and have yet to experience any showstopping bugs.
Drugar: have you attempted to re-install KeeperFX from fresh to see if the same problem occurs? I'm out of suggestions for this one I'm afraid.

WinCDEmu and Virtual CloneDrive cannot mount CUE sheets, and converting to an ISO image does not retain any of the audio tracks. The ISO format is for data only. I believe it is only possible to use Daemon Tools Lite or Alcohol 52% to mount the CUE sheet successfully. If you prefer not to mount it, just burn the CUE sheet with ImgBurn and use your physical CD Drive, that is by far the easiest method.

well, it works without issues even for me at 1600x900, I just don't use it because the interface become too small, but its explicity told that higher resolutions can have problems

I think the main issue was if the possession spell was used. A widescreen resolution would cause problems with the first person perspective, but I believe this bug has since been fixed with the release of 0.4.4.
Having a slight problem getting Daemon Tools to mount the CUE file. I followed your instructions to the letter up until this stage and whenever I try to mount the CUE it says that the image is invalid and is unable to mount it, any idea how to fix this?
Hi, I'm one of those guys who got the game with the promo :D

I'm trying to run KeeperFX in my computer and I'm finding some problems with the resolution: I try to set it to 1920x1080 (The screen native) but the ingame graphics are all corrupted (pink and yellow colors everywhere).

I want to think that I have followed all the instructions correctly. Is this a bug or have I touched something that I shouldn't?

To avoid problems here, I would recommend burning the CUE sheet using ImgBurn. If you insist on mounting it, check all the paths in the CUE sheet and make sure they're pointing to their correct locations.

I haven't tested it with DAEMON Tools, but it could be that it doesn't like the name of the game.gog file. Try renaming it to game.iso, then correct the file-name within the CUE sheet also.

I have a legit copy of Alcohol 120%, and I use that for mounting ISO/CUE/BIN files, have done for years. It works perfectly with that. There is a free version but I believe it comes bundled with a toolbar.

Pink and yellow doesn't sound good, nor is this something I have experienced personally. I would first try different resolutions. Make sure you're only adding new resolutions to the INGAME_RES and using ALT+R to switch, that way you can test them easily. Ensure that you're writing it out correctly e.g. 1024x768x32 1280x800x32 1920x1080x32
If that doesn't help, try changing the SDL Video driver as I recommended in my guide for fixing other problems.
