Tried using some 3rd party mods proper screwed my game lost save file no music all sorts of stuff went wrong... anyway to run it better through just the download?

The major problem im having is the music does not respond to being turned up or down its just BLASTING! the whole time. And on the nice graphic setting game is slow... maybe its not recognizing multi processors? but yeah let me know ht emusic one please because i may be deaf by the end of this.
