DK1 does run within dosbox and runs fine on my Wondows 7 x64 bit version. I hope this helps :)

... that being said I find the mouse very "twitchy" and the graphics don't go widescreen.

I have not tweaked my system yet to help those issues, just my impressions of a run this evening after purchasing it.
