Hello,
I have recently bought a Version of Dungeon Keeper Gold in order to play it together with friends (they have the same version from gog.com). I have 2 PC's with Win7 64 bit and one PC with WIn7 32 bit.
I am using Hamachi.
At first, i followed this tutorial to set up a running multiplayer game via IPX protocol.
gog.com/forum/dungeon_keeper_series/dungeon_keeper_multiplayer_tutorial
To sum my experience with this tutorial up, I altered the "Target" entry in the properties window of the DKG shortcut on one PC to the "client" version and on an other PC to the "server" version.
The PC with the server version, when running the game, starts an dialogue where its telling me that I'm running the "Host" version and which game I would like to play. So far so good.
The PC with client version starts a dialogue too, asking me which game I would like to play. But after that, there should be (according to the tutorial) a second dialogue where I put the hosts IP-adress in in order to find the hosted game in the multiplayer section. This is missing here - and as a consequence I can't find the hosted game.
So how do I set up the client game right to find my hosted game?
Thanks,
db
