I know there are a number of posts about multiplayer issues, but I couldn't find any posts with ideas to resolve issues I was having on local home network during a multiplayer session. A friend and I kept getting disconnects even though we were trying to lan on the same local network. Both of us are running windows 10 64 bit and the 1.7 gog version of the dungeon keeper 2 game.
We finally got it to work by disabling all network adapters/connections in "Network and Sharing center" except for the one labelled "Local Area Connection" (this part MAY unnecessary..unsure?) and then connecting our two boxes DIRECTLY via an ethernet cord. We also had our wifi disabled, so the ONLY connection we had going was straight to the other's box. Finally we stopped getting disconnects.
We tried this going through my home router at first, but just couldn't get more than 5 minutes in so IDK if it was interfering somehow. Both of our firewalls were turned off the entire time. gl hf
