I download the game of the GOG downloader, after it finishes, the bar goes gray and nothing happens. If i open the folder its a .exe that says its in uses. Even after waiting 20 min. it still wont let me use it. I closed out the downloader and it let me start installing. but pauses 1/3 in and gives me errors.

I'd try downloading it manually, without the downloader. It's just one file and not even very big, so you should be fine downloading it the classic way. Then run setup_dungeon_keeper_gold_2.0.0.4.exe as Administrator to install the game (right-click => Run as ..).
