When I try to change the keys to what I want in the main menu settings it will not allow me to do so. the window opens up that says "press a key" and when I do it doesn't work. I think i've been able to get them to change to "caps lock" and the letter "d" but I don't want to use either of them.

I just took a look at it, I think the reason is that the game won't let you remap to keys which are already predefined (eg W is already the Zoom To key for Workshop). And only a certain small sub-group of the key commands seem to be changeable.
