My DK2 from GOG runs from the installed shortcut in the Windows start menu (which points to DKII-DX.exe), and will also run if I double-click DKII-DX.exe, but I cannot run it from the command line. I have a prompt open in the directory it installed to, and when I enter DKII-DX.exe, nothing happens. There are no error messages from either Windows or the game. The command line acts as though I hit the enter button with no command preceding it. DKII.exe behaves the same. However, DKII_Soft.exe does run from the command line. My goal is to run DKII-DX.exe from a batch file (which also behaves the same way). Any ideas on why it won't run this way? I have Windows XP.
