Hi Everyone,
I've just spent the last few hours trying to get Dungeon Keeper 2 working online using TCP/IP and am about to give up. As far as I can tell, the game simply doesn't work online with the TCP/IP option, is there anyone here who uses this for online play?
Unfortunately there is almost no information about online play with TCP/IP so it's difficult getting an answer.
Here is what I'm doing:
* Running the latest copy of the game "setup_dungeon_keeper_2_1.7_(22280).exe"
* Port fording of UDP 7575 (confirmed this is working as the server appears in the server list).
* Adding the server IP to the 'Address Book' which then discovers the created game.
* When attempting to join I get an hour glass sign for about a minute, then dropped back to the multiplayer menu.
When looking at the network connectivity the client is communicating with the server on the servers public IP which is expected, but once pressing join game the client starts trying to communicate with the servers private IP which isn't going to work.
This leads me to believe that it's impossible to play the latest version of Dungeon Keeper 2 over TCP/IP online. Is anyone else able to verify if this setup works for them?
