I am having an issue on mission 14 Sleepiburgh

I have retried a few times, but ll I can attract is Warlocks. I have a L10 Mistress, i have gotten the reaper but he wont train wont do anything but eat, yews i built his own mini dungeon (lair, chickens, treasury, training, temple) but he wont do anything, have the single L10 troll, but, he isnt the best combatant and no more attract.
I can get a few more mistresses, but with no tanky units, im having a rough time, unless im just forgetting something.

Beat this repeatedly back in Win95 days, and once about 8 years ago, but first time with FX, so not sure which of the following is the issue:
1: im flat out forgetting something
2: my skills have slipped THAT much
3: Keeper FX changed something
4: ???

Any insight?

Never, ever, ever build a mini-dungeon for a reaper, unless you do it without doors so he can get out. What happened to your reaper is that he is so pissed off all he wants to do is kill you, but he will settle for your creatures. Reapers will remain happy if they get their needs met and stay busy.

The secret to this level is to throw a lot of your warlocks out (portal) as soon as they research the torture room. Then you can replace them by mistresses who are a lot stronger. Get them to where they cast lightning.

Also, bottom left there's loads of gems, with that you can cast as many heal and lightning spells as you want, charged in the battle menu is most effective.
