Psycho654: Hello community i was wondering if the GOG version of DK 2 has the un-retarded version of the AI that run in patch 1.7 and if because DK2 GOG runs version 1.7 of the game can i get the rouge, firefly and Dark angel units i heard in later stages of the game they dont spawn because of a problem with patch 1.7 and ive also heard about patch 1.8 and unofficial version but i hear its broken im somewhat of a non coding expert so if anyone could help me by telling me the best way to get a good DK 2 experience in short, i dont want to play with a broken AI or not be able to have all the units in the game
i welcome any help or thoughts on this.
shaddim: AI is broken in the gog version too, sorry. The GOG "every-thing prepatched" policy is a problem here, as we are now forced to used the broken 1.7 branch.(see also

Also, you can try the combined 1.73+timeslip patch which I think the best 1.7 branch version:

But in general, no solution for the broken AI. Maybe we should ask the GOG support for a additional vanilla 1.3 version download & ask timeslip to fix the 1.3/1.51 branch graphical wise too.
PS: the best solution would be if GOG would talk with the copyright holder of DK, get the source code and let the community fix this problems once and for all (wish for this here:
