Fnask: Where do i open the registry editor so i can go into HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Bullfrog Productions Ltd -> Dungeon Keeper II -> Configuration->Video?

Where do i find "Engine Id" and change it's value to 4?

Where do i find "Screen Hardware3D and set it to 0?

Im running win7 Home Premium
Whew, this is old. I think the fixes released by GOG should take care of most problems now, but if you want to play around with DK2's config in the registry anyway, I'll try to guide you a bit.

To open the registry editor, open up the start menu and in the little search box at the bottom, type "regedit" (without the quotes) then press enter. You might have to run it in admin mode to make changes, but since it's in the "Current user" tree, maybe not.

BE CAREFUL, if you go bonkers and start deleting or changing stuff in the registry without knowing what you're doing, you could seriously mess up your system.

Once the registry editor is open, you should have a treeview on the left with the registry nodes (or hives, keys or whatever you want to call them), and a larger area on the right with registry values. You use the left side to navigate to the registry node I listed, then find the values you want to modify in the section on the right and double-click on them to make the modifications.

Remember to be mindful of the Hexadecimal and Decimal options when dealing with values above 9. 10 in hexadecimal = 16 in decimal, and 10 in decimal = A in hexadecimal. Look it up on google if you want more info on that.
Yeah old stuff, but good stuff ;-)

My "engine id" value were already on 4
I changed my Screen Hardware3D from 1 to 0
i also tried 800x600 instead of 1366x768

But it's still the same :(

Do you have any more suggestions? :)
Black Screen after Bullfrog logo? Sorry, apart from trying different drivers or completely resetting the settings (while making sure to create a backup first), I'm out of ideas. Haven't had to mess around with DK2 in years.

By resetting the settings I mean deleting DK2's registry key. First you export it in a reg file (right-click -> export) and then you delete it. Could try just deleting the Video "folder". Helped me a few times when I messed up the video config and made the game unplayable.

KingOfDust: 1-Open the registry editor, go into HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Bullfrog Productions Ltd -> Dungeon Keeper II -> Configuration->Video

2-Find "Engine Id" and change it's value to 4

3-Find "Screen Hardware3D and set it to 0

4-In game, I experienced crashes to desktop using the 1024x768 resolution. Changing it to 800x600 seems to have fixed it. Something to keep in mind.

Try that out and tell me if it works. Also, is your GPU an ATI?
after moving into my new house i barely had time to play anything but anyways your solution worked perfectly and im using an nvidia card its a geforce 210

The DK2 config.ini should be in your user's AppData folders. See here

As for the registry editor, see my post on the previous page or this Microsoft article.
