This rewritten version of Duke 1 does not seem to be too well known, it contains:

- Save states
- High resolution (e. g. 1080p),
- HQ sprites (or those not modified, as on the original version)

And so on...

Spread the word. :)
You can even include an soundtrack for the game, when you edit the hrp.ini like this for example:

"[MUSIC]
menu = music/03 - Duke Nukem 2 - Menu.ogg
level0 = music/Andrey Avkhimovich - Duke Nukem 3D Soundtrack Rebuild - 01 Grabbag.ogg
level1 = music/04 - Duke Nukem 2 - Loading to Hell.ogg
level2 = music/04 - Duke Nukem 2 - Loading to Hell.ogg
level20 = music/gabbag.ogg"

In my example I included Duke Nukem II and Duke3D Tracks for Duke Nukem 1. :)
And yes, ReDuke is really not known. :0

It's good to know, thanks for the information. :)
Fantastic! Thank you!
[s]A little off-topic, but recently I came across some video of Duke Nukem 1 remaster with music from Duke3D. Does anyone know what this is or what platform it is for.[/s]

Could be the Evercade

Evercade got Duke Nukem remakes lately
They had to replace some music due to licencing problems (where the original tracks were also "inspired" by some Metallica tracks).

Hopefully they come to PC as well.
Yep that's it. Actuality saw a review from LGR a few days later. Hope someday the rest of the games from this collection, like Time to Kill, will also make it to PC.
I bought the Evercade games :)

The evercades are excellent devices, btw. Only downside is that it can become a bit pricy, if you tend to collect stuff and want to have them all (about 50 cartridges so far). I got a little more than half of them, since I am not a huge fan of arcade games.
Unfortunately, they are unlikely to be sold in my country probably. In fact, I had never even heard of Evercade before.
It's something for Retro fans. A couple of years ago they released a handheld and started licencing old arcade games (Gaelco, Atari, Namco, Data East, Piko, Techmos ... you name it).
Then they also released a version of the console for the living room where you could also insert two cartridges - so far the best console I think, since it allows for some extras. Some hidden games get unlocked when you insert two specific cartridges, which of course is not possible on the handheld.

Last year or so they replaced the handheld with a new version that could also be held vertically and also started releasing a home computer series with games for C64, Amiga.

On GOG we already benefit from the Evercade. Some of our retro collections (Retro Classix, Piko games, some titles now sold by Zigurat) are from publishers who had them buried for decades, but after having some success on the Evercade, they also came to GOG.

Don't know where you're from (Google maps couldn't find "Other" :D), but if you are interested, you should have no problem to get it wherever Amazon is active.
Sounds nice. Two cartridges thing reminded me of MSX for some reason.
