Just downloaded and installed this game.. It keeps randomly pausing by itself and takes about 10-15s to come unpaused. How do I fix this?!

I had the same problem, and it seems there is some kind of issue with wireless keyboards and Duke 3D -anyway, I was able to solve it by just upgrading my keyboard drivers.
