hi, i would like to play a level -say episode 4/level 9 but don't want to get there by playing episode 4/level 8 is there a way to do this ?? thanks red rider.

Easiest way would probably be to use the 'dnscotty' cheat code. Just type 'dnscottyXYY' (X being the episode number, YY being the level number.) It's easier if you pause the game before entering the cheat so that you don't start activating/deactivating all kinds of options and inventory items.
So, for episode 4, level 9, pause the game, then type:
D N S C O T T Y 4 0 9
It's pretty easy to memorize, too. DN = Duke Nukem, Scotty = Beam me up, Scotty!
