I'm sorry, but unlike everyone else here, I'm not completely blown away by this release. If they had included some of the semi-official expansion packs (the Sunstorm Interactive Duke Caribbean: Life's a Beach, Duke it Out in D.C. and Duke Xtreme; the WizardWorks Software Duke: Nuclear Winter and Duke!ZONE II) or even the original Duke Nukem I and II, then this might be something to celebrate. As it is, it looks as though Apogee is taking the easy road with this release. Besides, if they were able to get Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project out of the 'legal hell' created by the bankruptcy of Sunstorm, then surely there is no reason why they cannot get the expansion packs for D3D developed by them as well. I just can't help but compare this release to the Redneck Rampage pack, which includes Redneck Rampage and Rides Again, plus the Sunstorm-produced Suckin' Grits on Route 66 AND the Cuss Pack, plus a bunch of extras, for only $6.
I don't mean to rain on anyone's parade; in fact, I'm excited by the prospect of being able to play all the old Apogee classics again (legally, this time around). However, I just think Apogee should be aiming higher, rather than trying to capitalize on people's nostalgia in order to make a quick buck.
