Despite the possibility of sounding like a broken record because I ask the same thing in many GOG sub-forums here, I have to ask, is there an existing complete walkthrough for this game somewhere on the net, and if anybody knows of one could they please let me know and post the link here? Thanks in advance.

I didn't manage to find one, I did however finish the game and if you tell where you got stuck I could help you.

No I have not played the game, I have not even got the game yet. I just like to know whether a walkthrough exists for the game I am interested to play, so that at least I can be assured I will not get stuck in the middle of one. I'd say 99% of the time when I play a game I always have walkthrough on hand, and I'd say 99% of the time I may not even get the game if no walkthrough exists. Yes I am very weird/lazy that way.

I don't think the game is so hard that you need a walkthrough, I think maybe on one place that you can get really stuck.

I talked to Annie. Then went to the monastery and started the quest to find the gem. I "talked" to William and now have to go back to talk to Annie, but I can't seem to get back outside to do so. The gates of the monastery are closed and there's no option to have them opened when I talk with the gate keeper. What am I missing? Can anyone help me, please?

Did you finish all the quests inside the monastery? I think there's at least one hidden room. The library is involved. Been awhile since I played it - just started a replay. But as I recall you can't get out of the monastery until you finish one or more quests in there.
