So I have removed the bird, and gotten the shield. However when I go into the library and then into the secret room on the left, there is no book.

I tried moving the shelves every way I could but no luck.

Any chance someone can get me the code to play so I can progress with the game, or am I stuck for good because the quest won't update?

Hi TheComplex! I don't think you're stuck for good, don't worry!

SPOILERS AHEAD:

There's actually TWO secret entrances in the library. Seems like you've found the one on the left, but try searching at the furthest (north-west) wall of the library. There's one book case you can move to reveal a bigger secret room. Did you find it? After that there's the 4x4 blocks puzzle. If you find that too difficult, one of the wall contains a secret passage with a switch to pass the puzzle.

That book shelf appears to only slide one way. It has something behind blocking it. Perhaps when I first entered I pushed it inwards instead of sliding it sideways, the result seems to be that I am now permanently stuck.

Can you take a look at this screen shot and see if I am doomed?

Update, I loaded a previous save game and the bookcase is only slightly ajar, when I touch it, it moves for a second and then is stuck. It will not push through from the right or left side, and it cannot be pulled out.

Did you try pulling it by using the mouse cursor? It'll take a few seconds since it's quite heavy.

If you can't get it out that way for some strange reason, it would be wonderful if you could send us the save game, please (ville(at)instantkingdom.com). We haven't seen that before, so we'd like to take a look.

And should that be the case, there's actually an easy way we can still help you past:

Shift + F1 (Cheats on)
[Move mouse cursor to the spot where you want the player to jump to]
Shift + 1 (The player will jump to where your mouse cursor currently is.)
