From the WINEdb entry for this app, it seems to work just fine; I've tried running the demo, and while the game works fine the only problem is that the characters' arms are invisible.

I'd like to know what experiences others have had in playing this game under WINE, Wineskin or CrossOver.

The arms thingy is all that I've heard recently being mentioned. As far as I know the game should be fully playable under WINE.

I haven't tried this game (yet..), but make sure you're running latest version of Wine.

You could also try PlayOnLinux (www.playonlinux.com), that way you'll get a bit more freedom with playing around and testing with different Wine versions without having to install/remove the actual system Wine version.
I just started playing this game under Wine, and I have the same issue, character arms are invisible. I would like to know if there is a workaround for this.

Otherwise seems to work perfectly.

Running Xubuntu 12.04, Wine 1.7.4 (playonlinux) with an AMD graphics card (wouldn't be too surprised if the missing arms has something to do with the AMD card).

Number one rule when playing a game in Wine:
Always, always use the Wine version that's listed as working in AppDB.

Due to the fluctuating nature of Wine, new bugs are introduced all the time, so using the latest Wine version is by no means the most reliable way to get a particular game working.

In the case of Driftmoon, it appears that 1.5.6 works without the arms issue (though I haven't tested it myself).

Thanks for the reply, I had totally forgot about the DB since POL makes everything quite easy most of the time. I had switched to the newest version since I had troubles with the installer.

Switching to version 1.5.6 didn't fix the arms issue for me though..

Also, when it comes to Wine versions, most games I've tried have worked best with the latest version. So I always try that first. Like I said earlier, switching Wine versions in POL is so easy it only takes a minute to try.

Bummer. :^(

It appears that the arms issue is in Wine's BugDB, so hopefully it will get solved eventually.
Good day to all of you;

I recently installed Driftmoon on my Mac using Wineskin and the game runs great. I too cannot see my characters arms, but never having played the game with being able to see their arms it does not take away from the experience for me.
