gammaleak: Number one rule when playing a game in Wine:
Always, always use the Wine version that's listed as working in AppDB.
Due to the fluctuating nature of Wine, new bugs are introduced all the time, so using the latest Wine version is by no means the most reliable way to get a particular game working.
In the case of Driftmoon, it appears that 1.5.6 works without the arms issue (though I haven't tested it myself).
http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=26129 Thanks for the reply, I had totally forgot about the DB since POL makes everything quite easy most of the time. I had switched to the newest version since I had troubles with the installer.
Switching to version 1.5.6 didn't fix the arms issue for me though..
Also, when it comes to Wine versions, most games I've tried have worked best with the latest version. So I always try that first. Like I said earlier, switching Wine versions in POL is so easy it only takes a minute to try.
