There seems to be something wonky in quitting the game. I'm using Windows 11 but didn't see this happening with the demo version.

Every time I press quit the game, the game just freezes there. I can see the main menu, but all the sounds are off. The computer stays responsive, so I can ctrl+alt+del and force quit through the task manager or by logging off.

Dev here, that sounds very strange. I wonder if it could be Windows 11 and GOG combination (I haven't tested the game with Win 11). Could you send me a save game, just to see that if I can replicate it? Either atombraingames(at)gmail.com or Discord (the link is in Steam). Thanks!
One thing you could try is to launch the game from the installation folder (C:\program files\GOG Galaxy\Games\Dreams in the Witch House) without Galaxy, and see if it behaves the same way. If the problem persists, I need to ask from the Adventure Game Studio forums, could be a Windows 11 and AGS engine compatibility problem.

The problem seems to have gone away. I don't know if it was with my set-up or if it was your previous patch, but the quitting is now working.
Oh that's great to hear, phew!
