This tip is mentioned in the manual, but the game is simple enough for old-timers they may not bother to read it. To get your character to QUICKLY move across the screen, click on a destination as usual... then press the SPACE bar. He'll literally JUMP to where you clicked very quickly!

This may seem like a small thing, but believe me... you can go make a sandwich while waiting for the king to walk across the screen! I remember back when Return of the Phantom came out, it drove me BONKERS waiting for the character to s-l-o-w-l-y meander their way from one side of the stage to the other. I literally returned the game and got my money back... I just didn't have the patience. I wonder now if RotP had this same shortcut?

If so, I hope GOG offers it up someday so I can finally play it as well! Microprose must have gotten complaints about this, but I'm just glad they did something about it. Who knows... maybe they even heard my complaint about RotP and stuck in this feature just for me?!?!?!
